HoundCraft Treasure Hunts

Never before has adding an interactive TREASURE HUNT to your facility been so easy and inexpensive as it is now with HoundCraft.

Clues are automatically loaded into players' hand held digital 'GameQEE'.

Location, location ... ANY location

VEQTOR has created HOUNDCRAFT - an inexpensive, technology based solution so treasure hunts are now easy to add to any leisure location.
  • play centers
  • sport and leisure centres
  • hotels
  • museums
  • maze operators
  • outdoor pursuit centres
  • outdoor parks
  • theme parks
  • cruise lines
  • schools

HoundCraft is not only fun...

HoundCraft is not only fun, but at the same time it develops:
  • communication skills
  • collaboration and team building
  • problem solving and reasoning
all in one game.

Who's it appealing to?

To customers from age 6 to 60 who love the fun of a good treasure hunt,
and to operators because it:
  • will bring their centre returning customers
  • and being virtually unmanned, bring down your centre's costs
To find out why most operators would love to offer their customers a regular treasure hunt, but couldn't do it before, read below.

Problems with traditional Treasure Hunts

Most operators would love to offer their customers a regular treasure hunt, but can't. The problem is that the organisation and delivery of a regular and traditional Treasure Hunt attraction is complicated and expensive to operate and maintain.
It has never really proven economically viable, except perhaps once a year at EASTER time with finding hidden eggs.

How does it work?

The whole treasure hunt game process is fully automated.
  • Players are given a 'magic key'
(which can be connected to a security wrist band or jewelry item)
  • The player touches the magic key to the 'Clue Master' kiosk
  • Their own private treasure hunt is loaded into their magic key
  • The 'Clue Master' kiosk tells them their first clue destination.
  • The player (or group) must find the 'destination site' to which the clue has pointed.
  • When the player(s) find the 'destination site' they touch the magic key to the lock to be given their next clue on the treasure trail...
  • ...and so on untill all clues are found and hunt is over.
  • Players will return the 'magic key'
or be allowed to keep it if the Membership system is installed.

Why is it so easy?

It is so easy because HOUNDCRAFT Modules control the whole process and:
  • automatically aggregate the score and time it takes for each player
  • automatically manage the clues and routes so staff are not required
  • support hundreds of players hunting at the same time looking for scores of destination sites and bonus sites
  • trails change every time the game is played with thousands of combinations available to load into a player’s magic key to stimulate repeat play and visits to your site
  • magic buttons can be used at all licensed HOUNDCRAFT centers and the Internet based membership computer systems can provide additional customer loyalty

Varieties of clue sets

VEQTOR HOUNDCRAFT offers a range of clue sets specific to the type of center in which the HOUNDCRAFT system is being installed.

For children's play centers clues are kept quite simple, kept fun and focus on developing basic skills.
A popular clue set for the Key Stage 1 (ages 3 to 7) market is:
  • Animals
  • Letters and their Sounds
  • Numbers and Simple Maths
  • Symbols
  • Colours
  • Transportation
  • Fruits and Vegetables
  • Healthy Eating
  • etc...

Museums and Visitor Attractions.

Venues can arrange for VEQTOR to place customised, location specific clues within the HOUNDCRAFT system modules. This is especially useful for museums and visitor attractions where site operators want to bring visitors to specific locations.
