Guildford Spectrum has a new attraction offering a truly interactive experience for visitors from age 8 up.The Secret Agent Academy is a new concept brought out by VEQTOR Gymkids to provide a package of entertainment and activities for parties or casual visitors to the Spectrum centre.
Upon entering the Secret Agent Academy, visitors form teams and are challenged to a variety of physical, mental and tactical tasks including dance mats, electronic jumping stations and interactive training walls. The party is concluded with the teams playing a live action laser game and each player leaves with their own Secret Agent souvenir passport showing team scores.
VEQTOR Gymkids provides a range of equipment designed to build confidence and self esteem, as well as keeping children physically active.
The SAA is a new approach to providing entertaining activities in a themed environment that work on all these levels.
“This is something entirely new being offered to the birthday party and leisure centre market,” said VEQTOR Gymkids managing director Jonathan Plache.
He said that with over 15 years' experience in the entertainment industry, VEQTOR is seeing a sharp increase in demand for fun products which will provide 'fitness by stealth' for young people.
“We provide fun first. Health benefits come naturally when you get children really involved in playing together in a safe and supervised environment,” Plache added.
In its first month at the centre the parties have had an overwhelmingly positive response with comments from both children and parents giving the attraction providers the confidence to now roll out the concept.
VEQTOR Gymkids' Plache admitted there are always challenges in such an attraction to keep groups of children happy. “Motivated staff and good organisation are key”, he said. It is this organisation which gives parents reassurance that their children are in good hands.
A typical comment received by SAA staff was left one parent, which summed up the experience: “They didn't want it to finish. They had a great time, the activities were very well organised and they can't wait to come back again. Brilliant.”
